She has revolutionized the art of teaching very young children theatre arts and loves providing a safe space for all people to create and imagine. Ashley is a violinist of 24 years, an active gardener, painter, and loves her cat Betty Boop.

Elise Terry

Elise has been dancing since she could walk, and directing, choreographing, and stage managing musical theatre productions since high school. She received her dance education from schools such as the Stapleton School of the Performing Arts and Marin Dance Theatre. Elise holds a Dance Teacher's Certificate from the Ross Creek Center for the Arts, and she recently graduated Cum Laude with Distinction from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts (technical theatre). Elise is so excited to work with your children and bring out the best in each and every one of them! She believes theatre arts education for kids can teach so much more than just theatrical skills.

Kira Humes

Stage Manager

Kira has loved theater since the first time she was on stage at age five. Since then she has been an actor, stage manager, and director; and loves it all. Kira got started with the company as an actor, and after living abroad for a year came back and has since stage managed nine shows. She is currently a student at the Santa Rosa Junior College working towards her AA in theater and teaching credentials. Kira loves working with children and hopes to help them become their best selves on and off the stage.

A Sonoma County native, Vanessa first found her love of musical theatre through watching her incredibly entertaining daughter perform in countless  shows directed by Ashley Kimball. After seeing the positive impact performing had on her daughter, Vanessa realized that the whole community is enriched when children have the opportunity to explore the arts. Vanessa holds a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership and has a passion for youth programming that allows young people to develop their unique potential. Vanessa has many years of Executive Leadership and Business Management experience and loves working with the creative people at NBT!

Katie Kelley

Director

Katie has been performing all around the North Bay ever since she was 9 years old. Katie was introduced to Ashley a few years ago when she enrolled her daughter in Aladdin, and fell in love with the program and immediately wanted to get involved! Since then she has directed a handful of shows with NBT, in addition to directing and teaching with Young Actors Studio in Santa Rosa. When she’s not directing, Katie works with children for events, birthday parties and local hospital visits as a Disney princess with Hope Love and Magic. Katie is also an arts instructor at Alchemia, where she helps teach theatre and dance to adults with developmental disabilities. Katie is a firm believer that theatre can change the world, as it has been proven to help children (and adults) develop compassion, confidence, and problem solving skills that they can carry with them and guide them through life.

Erik Klouse

Instructor

Erik grew up in the Midwest as a little storyteller and comedian, then over time turned into a bigger storyteller and comedian. He has lived in Sonoma County for 8 years and is a special education teacher by day. By night, he performs stand up comedy (currently online only - thanks COVID-19) several times a week. Erik has a minor in teaching the creative arts and has been involved with theatre and performance for children for 6 years - primarily comedic acting, puppetry, character voicework, prop making, and set design. His favorite teaching assignment so far has been teaching middle and high school art to children on the autism spectrum. Erik is a huge fan of the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, the value of humor and play, teaching with love and acceptance, and the power of the arts to heal ourselves and our world.
