At NBT we value each and every student and strive to create an environment where everyone feels safe and included. To help ensure this goal is achieved, we have developed a student and community code of conduct.
Student Code of Conduct
-
There are no “small” parts at NBT! Each and every role is important and so every rehearsal/class is important. Please arrive 5-10 mins early to every rehearsal/class and prioritize attending each one. If missing a rehearsal/class is unavoidable please contact the NBT office at northbaytheatrics@gmail.com
-
Be prepared! When everyone is prepared, we can use our rehearsal time to its fullest! Dress in comfortable clothing that allows you to move and close toed shoes. ALWAYS bring your script, a pencil, a water bottle, your mask, and your energy! If taking an outdoor class dress in layers. NO PHONES during rehearsal.
-
Only your Director/Instructor is allowed to give direction and feedback, and only your Director/Instructor is allowed to dismiss class.
-
Remember your theatre etiquette! Be respectful and supportive of your peers and be a good audience member when you aren’t the one on stage! Students are expected to make safe and healthy choices with their body and words.
Family Code of Conduct

Respect the rehearsal space. While we understand families are interested in what our students are learning we ask all parents/guardians/siblings to remain in designated waiting areas to help remove distractions for our students. At pick up time please be punctual but wait in your vehicle or other designated waiting area.
-
Please refrain from offering feedback or critique to any student. Our instructors/directors are very skilled and trained to work with children, they will ensure each student is given feedback in a productive and appropriate way.
-
Due to the physical nature of theatre it is important that any injuries or potential accommodations be discussed ahead of the start of class.
-
Once class has been dismissed and the students have been released to parents, the instructors are no longer responsible for them. If students would like to play together “after hours” that is up to the families.
